Looking for the best Alaskan cruise for a family with 3 children, 13, 13 and 10. What line would you recommend?
We want a summer cruise through Gulf, in any direction. Want to see a glacier or two nearby, and some towns in Alaska. Having a 10-year-old social butterfly, the needs people to interact with it. Also 13 years old twin boys in video games and swimming pools. No social need and could prevent as others are best friends. Party Animals Maybe some cute girls. Wife and I want good food, casual atmosphere, no. Nice cabin. Probably, with ocean view. The priorities are: 1. (itinerary Anchorage – Seattle / Vancouver in both directions) 2. suitable for preteens and early 3. views glaciers, wildlife and landscapes, cities to see 4. comfort, food, exercise, swimming pools appears that the choice of Celebrity Millennium Carnival Spirit HAL Veendam, Volendam, Zaandam, and Princess of the island, Coral, diamond and sapphire RCCL no cabins open to us now
I have a cruise on Celebrity, Princess, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean, and I think the Princess or Royal Caribbean cruise would be best for you. There are some differences between cruise lines. Princess, Celebrity and Holland America have great ships and more passengers booked. Holland America has more seniors on their cruise ships. Carnival has more first time cruiser and young people who want to party, party, party. Royal Caribbean caters most families have more and better about the activities of vessels. All cruise lines have children's programs and places can pass the time. Kids programs and amenities vary by ship. We sailed to Alaska on a Princess ship a few years ago and that the cruise ship and it was great. The boat we were on, the Star Princess was beautiful. Three cruise lines that you mentioned make the journey of crossing by train, Holland America, Royal Caribbean and Princess. RCCL and Princess have special tour of the dome cars. I suggest you look and consider the visit of cruise ships. A note end. The Alaska cruise season is from mid-May to mid September only. So the options for dates are closing the season is rapidly almost here for this year.
