Grand Princess Cruise Line
I'm going on a western Caribbean cruise on Princess cruise line and need some ideas?

I'm going on a Western Caribbean cruise with my girlfriend May and we are out of Fort Lauderdale and stopping in ports (Princess Cays, Bahamas, Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Grand Cayman Islands and Cozumel, Mexico) We traveling on Princess cruise line. Does anyone have any recommendations for shore excursions or you have to see the sites? Or if its something that should make sure I see while traveling on the boat? This is my first cruise.

I've been to almost all places of Cruise and its a fun time. Princess Cays is a private island owned only the cruise company. Usually these are just a nice beach equipped with umbrellas and beach chairs and of course some bars. We stopped at Labadee in Haiti and it was only a private beach, and hot. In Ocho Rios, is likely to want to go to Dunn's River Falls. We went to a private beach, that was nice, but a bit boring unless you're a beach bum. Dunn's River is cold but so be prepared for that. In Grand Cayman, most of the routes were rather lame. At this stop, we decided to go shopping. There are lots of nice shops right at the pier and can be re-download the ship and then come back for more. There are plenty of small shops and places to visit. They have a post office in the center of the city where we make our postal mailing. Finally the day he stopped in for a few Margaritas Margarita. Wait, wait while the lines are long to get sure to have a marker so he can sign poles that support the bar. Cozumel has a lot of things to do. We opted for an excursion to the mainland in Playa Del Carmen. From there, the tour guide. We chose the smaller tour Mayan ruins, and was a long journey, and not so many as the site ruins of Tulum. I would recommend going to Tulum to much more to see and ride a little shorter. You can shop when they bring you back to Playa del Carmen while waiting for the offer to bring him back through the ship. Mexico is very interesting. The drive on the highway is a free for all vehicles that go wherever they please, and acceleration as pagans. Then smack mud in the middle of nowhere in the highway, have a stop sign. Its crazy! You'll also see the military police that are not used for at all. When driving you'll see a parked Humvee in a small café with a M16 machine gun mounted on the back. In short, read carefully tours brochures, and online at the website cruise line and decide what to do. Some trips fill up fast so you want to book form before departure. The ruins of Tulum is one of those. Where others may virtually decided after board ships and have had time to think about more. On the first day on the boat back to ask the crew, especially your waiter and waiters on if there are events to be included unannounced stops during the cruise. We asked and were told about a naked massage Labadee in Haiti. Space was very limited, and we had to go to a specific person in the gym area to enroll. (Massage was awesome by the way!). Good luck and have fun.
